Love in Disguise CH3

Chapter 3

「Recently, there’s been no sight of Alice, did something happen to her?」the always gently smiling priest, now asked with a face full of sadness.

A villager who came to pray answered: 「Priest Harvey there’s no need to be worried, her parents arranged her a marriage partner, and are restraining her, it’s almost time to marry running about outside is not so good.」

This place only has a very small village, so if a family has something happening, it’s basic for the whole village to know.

「Ah…… yes, so it’s like that…… 」The villagers soon left, no one noticed how forced the smile on the priest’s face was, even as all the people who came to pray left, priest Harvey did not leave, he painfully knelt down in front of God’s statue, praying to God, only wishing for the girl who would never belong to him, get married to a good man, obtaining happiness.

The priest kept kneeling until late at night, the whole body becoming numb, yet still not wanting to get up.

This little church, ever since the old nun died, only he remains, he has nowhere to vent out his misery, of course, even if there was a partner who he could vent to, he wouldn’t be able to talk.

「Bam」! The church’s doors were all of a sudden opened, priest looked back towards the behind of God's statue, finding that it was the same girl who he had been thinking about.

During this late-night no candles were lit in the church, after the girl entered, she firmly closed the door tight.

The priest could only count on the moonlight, watching the vague figure of the girl walking towards him.

Suddenly, the girl pounced onto the priest, because of the long hours spent kneeling, priest Harvey’s legs were numbed pass feeling, unexpectedly getting thrown to the ground by the girl.

A long silence, the girl’s soft body pressed onto the priest, his heart pounding like thunder, this was the first time he was so close to the girl.

Immediately, the girl’s actions made him confused to the point of being at a loss.

「……Alice!?」
